The Journey
At ADU Basements, our foundation is built on decades of hands-on experience and technical expertise. Our founder began as a finish carpenter, specializing in basement remodeling and interior renovations, where a strong attention to detail and craftsmanship was developed over years in the field.
To complement this practical experience, the founder pursued formal education in Architectural Technology and earned BCIN accreditation through the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. This designation certifies the qualifications required to provide residential design services to the public, with a deep understanding of building codes and regulatory requirements.
By combining real-world construction experience, formal design training, and code expertise, ADU Designs delivers basements that are not only beautifully finished, but thoughtfully designed and built to last.

A Design+Build approach to delivering customer satisfaction is where experienced designers, builders and skilled trades collaborate daily under one umbrella. This constant interaction among experienced professionals results in the delivery of finished basements that are both well designed and built. Essentially, we design, get building permits and manage the construction of your project.
We believe finished basements should be as comfortable and functional as the other dwelling spaces in home. A safe and comfortable basement starts where the soil (grade) meets the foundation walls on the exterior of a house. Safe and comfortable basements are built within dry and sound foundation walls; this where our in-home consultation and design process begins -- accessing the integrity of your foundation walls.
